Winter feels like mac & cheese season to me, so I figured what better time for a giveaway of the charming new cookbook Mac & Cheese, Please by Laura Werlin. I was generously gifted two copies, so that means two lucky winners will be in good hands cooking from this book since Laura knows her cheese; she’s a James Beard Award-winning author of five books on the subject. To enter, leave a comment letting me know how you like your mac and cheese (Kraft and Velveeta lovers fess up). Enter a second time by “liking” my Facebook page and letting me know you’ve done so in the comments section. And if you can’t wait a single second longer to dig into Laura’s mac and cheese, check out her recipe for The Best-Ever Macaroni and Cheese here.
All entrants must be 18 years or older and live in the United States. Deadline for entries is Wednesday January 30 at midnight PST.

I love buffalo chicken mac and cheese
I love Mac and cheese arrabiata!
Just liked your Facebook page.
Our family likes Mexican mac & cheese!
Just liked your FB page. Thanks.
I love classic mac n cheese: sharp cheddar ooey-gooey over al dente elbow noodles.
My daughter enjoys the Velveeta version.
We all enjoy eating at Homeroom in Oakland — a whole restaurant devoted to Mac N Cheese!
I’ve liked your FB page too!
I love making Mac & Cheese with whole wheat spirals and a couple of kinds of cheese, there was a recipe from Real Simple a few years back that I really loved…it was a Gruyere and a sharp cheddar combo…whole wheat breadcrumbs on top. amazing! Looking forward to trying Laura’s!
I think my sister-in-laws and I are going to have a mac-n-cheese eat-off because our delicious recipes have big variances. But I like mine with 6 TBLS of butter and flour each; 3 cups of milk; 2 cups of cheddar; then baked with toasted sourdough bread crumbs on top. Good!
I love whole wheat pasta with a homemade cheese sauce and a little Dijon.
I “like” your fb page
I have liked you on FB and love your posts!
I used to like Kraft, but a few years ago I got into organics, got away from processed foods, and started making my own. I really like the recipe in the Petite Appetit cookbook because it is super easy and you can add a bunch of random cheeses in if you want. I would LOVE to win this cookbook – my whole family loves mac n cheese!
We buy Annie’s at Costco and it’s eaten up by both my 2 year old, as well as my almost 19 year old!
Love it with goat cheese and rellenos. But I do love me some velveeta!
I like to use gruyere, sharp cheddar, fontina and gouda with mine! a few breadcrumbs on the top and always cook in a shallow dish so there are plenty of crusty bits for everyone to enjoy.
oh, and I liked your facebook page as well!
I love my mac and cheese with a crumbly buttery cracker topping – YUM!
We make our Mac with broccoli or cauliflower florets
Like you on FB
I love the really creamy macaroni and cheese, like Velveeta but I’d rather have homemade. I have yet to find the perfect recipe!
And I liked your facebook page!
I like mac and cheese made with extra-sharp cheddar. And I must also admit a weakness for Kraft mac and cheese (but I only allowed myself to indulge during pregnancy cravings!)
Grandma’s recipe~~~handfulls of ingredients! sharp cheddar, whole milk, butter and crumbs on top!
Every November for the past 7 years we have hosted a white truffle dinner. We preordered the truffle from Far West Funghi, painstakingly planned out the multicourse dinner and sent the guest list early. We tried various dishes over the years – white truffle risotto, homemade white truffle ravioli, etc. But by far the best dish and the one that was repeated was the white truffle mac and cheese. Four kinds of cheese, milk, butter, whole wheat elbows, panko, white truffle oil and when it was served in individual ramekins each guest received shavings of that white truffle on top. Heaven! This past year, we actually went to Alba, Italy for the white truffle festival. It was great but I have to say that I actually missed our mac & cheese!
With Melinda’s hot sauce! Liked you on FB too!
I have liked your facebook page because I LOVE your blog…. and mac and cheese almost any way you make it.
Oh I loovvve mac n cheese! Especially New Seasons’ deli variety! It’s so cheesy!
Would love to win a mac n cheese book!
Already a FB follower.
Fb fan thank u
Honestly, I like Mac n Cheese any which way, the cheesier and creamier, the better! In a jam, I make the Trader Joe’s white cheese and shells box (yes, I’m admitting it) and put in a cup of frozen peas for the last few minutes of boiling time. I’d like to think that that qualifies as healthy.
Panera’s and stouffers!
We love Mac & Cheese with tomato and breadcrumb topping. Yum!
I love Mac and cheese with a few different cheeses mixed in.
I like my Mac and Cheese homemade with sharp cheddar and some bread crumbs on top for crispyness.
I make a macaroni and cheese recipe with blue cheese, caramelized onions, parmesan, and pine nuts. It’s a crowd pleaser.
I like garlicky Mac n’ cheese with tillamook extra sharp cheddar. Liked FB too!
I love my mac n cheese homemade with multiple cheeses and bacon! So bad but so good!
I love to make homemade mac & cheese and add butternut squash puree or sweet potato puree to the roux. The obvious benefit is adding nutrition (vitamins A&C) but it adds a lovely creaminess to the sauce as well!
Buffalo Mac and Cheese or proscuitto and truffle oil!
I love to make mac and cheese with all the leftover bits and pieces of cheese in my fridge. The more kinds the better. I’m always making it different.
I like mine with extra cheese. times 2.
I LOVE cheese!
Like you on Facebook!
Having grown up on Stouffer’s, I couldn’t really go there for years. But now I love to whip up a homemade batch and I mix in a bit of beef or bacon to “man” it up for the men in my brood.
I like my mac and cheese super creamy and homemade. However the mini people in my house prefer the Macaroni Grill Kids Mac and Cheese. I’m liking all the ideas on this page, especially goat cheese and rellenos…..make that into a recipe for us Kate!
I know…some creative ideas here worth knocking off.
I make Mac and Cheese in my slow cooker. Delicious and easy.
I confess I love Mac and cheese the way my husband makes it!
I’m a life long cook of non-prepared foods making most things from scratch. Mac and cheese is the one thing he’ll push me out of the way to cook in the kitchen! Being that he’s American and I’m a Brit, his version is better. I couldn’t even tell you what he puts in it as its my time to hit the couch!
But there’s not a ‘cheese food’ product in sight round here, so its all good!
This is a deadly combo… but my favorite combo is mac & cheese with baked beans on top. It’s just sooo tasty!
I liked your facebook page.
