It was a crazy busy week captured with lots of photos. Here are a handful snapped with my iphone to send you into Saturday.
Got a little carried away at Anthropologie. Have you puttered in their housewares section? Trouble. Treated myself to these pretty kitchen things, which I’m sure will be popping up in upcoming posts.
Got word that my sister Annie had her baby, so high-tailed it cross country to meet my brand new niece. First, we had to celebrate. Baby girls must be toasted with pink champagne.
Then, I got cooking, packing the freezer with a hearty lamb stew, a lentil curry soup, and veggie enchiladas. An emergency batch of whole wheat brown butter chocolate chip cookies was also in order. Some for the freezer
And the rest served with tea for friends dropping by to get a sneak peek at the new addition.
Hated to leave that baby, but had a nutrition conference to attend. Went to a breakfast hosted by the Hass avocado folks and fell hard for this centerpiece. Worth knocking off, no?
Happy to be home again, but trying to restore my equilibrium. This Triple Almond Peach Smoothie was a good start: 2/3 cup unsweetened almond milk, 1 tablespoon almond butter, 8 almonds, 1 small frozen banana, 4 frozen peach slices, 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract. Whirl in a blender. Yum.
