A Few Updates
I’m long overdue in posting My Week in Food, but this has been a doozy of a week, so for now I’m sharing just a few updates. Also, keep your eye out early next week when I’ll be passing along a new favorite 15 Minute Fix.
Hope you are all having a lovely summer.
If you pay attention to these sorts of things, you’ll notice I’ve added a YUM button to the top of each post. Yum stands for Yummly, a recipe storing and sharing website that my kids got me into. The company makes the job of keeping tabs on your favorite recipes entry-level easy. Go here to have a peek at my work-in-progress Yummly page and here to find the Yummly home page. If you choose to set up a Yummly account, all you have to do is hit “Yum” on my recipes to stow them in your recipe box.
I love the loose schedule that summer sometimes affords, but at the same time, it can feel like a snacking free for all with the kids. And so, I appreciated these Clean Eating Snack Ideas I stumbled upon from Cooking Light. It’s a line-up of recipes that will fuel your young ones, not just fill them up.
Summer shouldn’t be about slaving at the stove, so I thought you might like to put this simple supper omelette to work. If you’ve never made a classic French omelette, you’re missing out. Add a simple salad and a glass of wine (French, of course) and dinner is done.
I’m enormously grateful that so many of you participated in my survey last week. I’ve chosen a winner for the giveaway of The Yogurt Culture cookbook and Lifefactory storage containers (better luck next time to the rest of you). If you have yet to participate in the survey and would still like to, you can find that here.
