Lunch Box Waffle Sundae Bar

This is an ideal way to use up the leftovers when making waffles: turn them into a waffle sundae for school lunch. If you don't have homemade ones on hand, there are some pretty wholesome options in the freezer section of the market.
Course Lunch
Prep Time 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 toasted waffle (homemade or whole grain freezer waffle)
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/2 cup fresh berries or sliced fresh fruit
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup

Instructions

  1. For a packed lunch, arrange the yogurt, fruit, and syrup in containers. Wrap the waffle in a wax paper bag or parchment paper. Pack into lunch box with a fork. Kids can arrange ingredients as they like on the waffle and eat with a fork, or use the waffle to dip into the yogurt and fruit.
