21 Healthier Frozen Treats

21 HEALTHIER FROZEN TREATS

New research suggests that eating fruits and vegetables can substantially increase happiness (never mind what it can do for cancer, heart disease, and high blood pressure). Anecdotal evidence — from a study sample of my three children — suggests that eating frozen treats can also substantially increase happiness. Put them together and you might just have a replacement for prozac.

Below you’ll find 21 healthier frozen treats gleaned from the kitchens of my favorite registered dietitians. Nutrient-rich fruits are packed into nearly all of them, with most relying on less processed sweeteners, and not a drop of artificial anything in any of them. One even has a little port wine added for good measure, just in case you weren’t already giddy enough.

Let the happy party begin!
