15 Holiday Food Gifts to Make and Ship

15 food gifts to make and share

Holiday kitchen crafts are always a part of our family routine this time of year. Chocolate bark, ginger cookies, little quick breads, and cranberry-studded granola are just a few favorites we’ve routinely shared with neighbors and teachers alike. This year will be no different, although without relatives visiting from out of town, I expect to be shipping more than delivering goodies by hand. It’s with that in mind that I pulled together 15 homemade treats — both sweet and savory — to share and ship to the ones you love.

Wait, There’s More

If you want more recipes for more homespun gifts, check out this recipe feature I wrote for the San Francisco Chronicle that includes Homemade Apple Butter, Cranberry Ginger Granola, Honey Lacquered Almonds with Rosemary and Black Pepper, Cranberry Walnut Bread, and Dark Chocolate Peppermint Sauce. For tips on packing and shipping, head to this post I wrote a while back.
